Footstools built to your exact size and finished by hand, in clean and simple forms. Soft wadding and wool sit beneath your chosen fabric to give each piece real structure and a shape that holds over years of use.

Coat racks, utility shelving, hallway nooks and everyday storage built to fit in your space exactly. Each piece is made to your measurements, combining natural oak with hand painted finishes for a style that suits your home.

What does Form and Fold make?
We design and hand-make bespoke footstools and upholstered pieces, built to your exact specifications — from fabric and leg style to size and cushion firmness. Every piece is made to order rather than pulled off a shelf, so what you get is genuinely one of a kind.
How does the bespoke process work?
It starts with a conversation about what you need: the size, shape, and setting the piece is going into, along with your style and fabric preferences. We'll talk you through options and, where possible, send fabric samples before anything is cut. Once you approve the final design and quote, we build the piece by hand in our workshop and keep you updated until it's ready to deliver.
How long does an order take?
We are equally as frustrated with having to wait the usual 12-16 weeks here in Jersey for furniture to arrive. Despite being just a small business, we aim for our bespoke footstools to be with you in just 5-6 weeks from all the supplies arriving in Jersey. This may of course vary depending on fabric availability, project complexity and workshop business at the time. We'll always give you a realistic timeframe when you order, and let you know if anything changes along the way.
Can I choose my own fabric, or supply my own?
Yes to both. We work with a curated range of fabrics across different price points, or you're welcome to supply your own (known as "customer's own material" or COM) — just let us know the lengths you are looking at and we'll confirm before you order anything.
What sizes can you make?
Because every piece is made to order, we can build to almost any dimensions within reason. If you're working around an existing sofa, alcove, or footprint, send us the measurements and we'll advise on what will look and feel right.
Do you offer re-upholstery on existing furniture?
Not at the moment, unfortunately. For now, our focus is on bespoke, made-to-order pieces.
How do I care for my footstool?
Care depends on the fabric chosen, and we'll include specific guidance with your finished piece. As a general rule, keep upholstery out of direct sunlight where possible, vacuum with a soft brush attachment to remove dust, and deal with spills promptly by blotting rather than rubbing.
How much does a bespoke piece cost, and how do I get a quote?
